Absolute Beauty: Radiant Skin and Inner Harmony through the Ancient Secrets of Ayurveda

by Pratima Raichur with Marian Cohn

LOVE this book!!!

I read alot, am entirely enamored with our local library network, and come across literary inspiration regularly. However, I have found myself particularly taken with Pratima Raichur’s book Absolute Beauty. In addition to interesting information about how to cultivate beauty through internal nourishment and external treatments, she also dedicates a whole section of the book to the concept of inner harmony and beauty that blossoms from a healthy soul. This is a neglected topic in our superficial, consumer driven culture. What if standard operating procedure was to cultivate joy instead of taking out a loan for breast implants? What if  it were normal to consider balance, flexibility and purpose qualities that contribute to one’s loveliness? What would America be like and what would it be like to be a woman of the 21st century if we were taught from early on healthy, wholesome ways to nurture our image. What if we ate whole foods knowing that they would give us a glow no makeup ever will? What if we made rest and rejuvenation a part of our regular routine aware that it would boost our attractiveness? Can you imagine if we spent the same amount of money that we spend on cosmetics on wholesome foods and regular massage therapy?! Ayurveda can be described as the science of life. Raichur has outlined a science for natural beauty. Definitely a wonderful and inspiring read!!!
